A Letter for The Birth Team —

Dear OBGYN/MIDWIFE,

My name is Jules, and I’m a professional birth photographer based here in North Austin area. I specialize in documenting the powerful, emotional, and transformative moments of childbirth for families who want to preserve their baby’s birth story in a respectful and unobtrusive way.

I’m reaching out to personally introduce myself and share a little about how I work. I understand that a birth space is a delicate environment—one that requires focus, respect, and teamwork. My role is to quietly and thoughtfully document a family’s journey, always prioritizing the safety, privacy, and comfort of everyone in the room, especially the mother and medical staff.

I do not use flash, I stay out of the way of clinical care, and I’m highly attuned to the rhythm and flow of labor and delivery. My approach is very hands-off—I quietly observe and document without interfering or interrupting. If a situation ever arises where I need to step back or pause, I do so without hesitation.

My goal is to support your work by preserving the story without ever becoming a distraction to it.

Birth photography is deeply meaningful to the families who choose it. Many of my clients share that their photos helped them process and appreciate their birth experience more fully—especially in moments they may not have remembered in the intensity of labor. These images often become treasured heirlooms, telling a story not just of how their baby arrived, but how supported and strong they were throughout the experience.

I would love the opportunity to connect further if you’re open to it—whether to chat more about what I do, answer any questions you might have, or simply introduce myself in person. Thank you so much for the important work you do, and for taking the time to read this letter.

Warmly,

Jules Morlet
