Top 5 Product Recommendations for Postpartum Moms
You’re sitting on the couch, cluster feeding for the 4th time, and you just need something to feel somewhat normal. The duplicity of emotions are taking you out.
You love this part. You hate parts of it too.
You can’t get enough of the coos, and you need to sleep more than 3 hours too.
I get it. I did it three times and every time was hard. And every time was beautiful.
So I’ve curated my “let’s feel normal and stabilize” list of things that helped me postpartum.
Just for you with direct links and everything.
1- Cowboy Colostrum
Start this asap. One scoop a day for a week, and then you can up your dose to two or whatever feels good on your tummy. The strawberry flavor in raw milk for a snack or add to coffee for creamer. Why: this will boost the fatty good stuff in your body that you lose while breastfeeding. It helps with hair, skin, nails, mood, etc. Trust. GET 15% off.
2- Beef Liver Pills
These sound nasty. And they are. Just drink with alot of water to wash ‘em way down because THEY ARE GOLD. These will help with that postpartum hair loss and regrowth. It slows the loss and boost the growth. Packed with iron (important for blood loss), Vit B12 and Vitamin A, this is a non-negotiable for my postpartums.
3- Aveeno Baby Wash and Lotion
Listen. No one has time for skin care routines right now. You’re surviving. That’s ok. You can serum later. I needed to simplify everything I could and my skincare routine (morning and night) was either gonna fall off or I was gonna make it easy. So when I washed baby, I washed my face. When I lotioned baby, I lotioned my face. Easy peasy. I’ll bring back vitamin C in a few years.
4- Non-Stiff Nursing Bras (that aren’t ugly)
Ok I these did not exist when I was having babies. Our options were motherhood maternity brand or no bra at all. And that wasn’t an option for the leakiest of us. THEN CAME LOVESTEADY. Honestly, I wear these now. But they would have been a game changer for me nursing my littles. So soft, cozy, beautiful and supportive.
5- Noise Cancelling Headphones
When you’re overstimulated and need to pee, everything is loud. When you’re in a cluster feed or nap trap and you can’t move around, a podcast or audio book is where it’s at. So I invested in noise cancelling over the ear headphones because I needed help silencing the chaos while also feeling like I was indulging in parts of me that I enjoyed. I think I read 50+ books during my last baby. Audio of course.
I know this part feels like a blip and a blur all at the same time. You’re gonna make it. And you’re gonna miss it. So rest easy my girl. And if the time comes where you want to see yourself as the world sees you now, let’s chat about a postpartum photography session. No commitments, just chatting.
