FAQs

When should I book my maternity session?

1

Most moms book their maternity photos between 28–34 weeks, when the bump is beautifully round but you’re still comfortable. Booking early also ensures availability in my Leander studio.

How long does a maternity or newborn session last?

2

Maternity sessions can go anywhere from 45-60 minutes. We leave wiggle room for wardrobe changes, but everything will be set up in our Creative Pre-Call so we make sure we’re using your time efficiently.

Newborn sessions typically go 60 minutes. By 45 minutes in, baby starts to get a little fussy and over all the bows and sock changes :)

What should we wear for our photoshoot?

I guide you through styling based on your session type. Neutrals, soft tones, and simple textures work beautifully in my Leander studio. I also provide personalized style boards upon request.

Do you provide wardrobe?

I do have some options in my Client Closet, however most of my clients come excited and ready with their own unique style.

How old should my baby be for a newborn session?

5

Newborn sessions are best within the first 7–16 days of life. Babies are sleepier, curlier, and most relaxed during this window.

Where is your photography studio located?

6

My private, natural-light studio is located in Leander, Texas, easily accessible from Cedar Park, Liberty Hill, Georgetown, and North Austin.

Can siblings be included in the newborn session?

7

Absolutely! Older siblings are always welcome. I structure the session so we work quickly with younger children (like toddlers) first, then move into baby-only portraits.

What if my baby is fussy or doesn’t sleep?

No worries at all! I have years of experience soothing newborns and create a warm, calm, baby-led environment. We take breaks as needed and follow your baby’s pace.

How far in advance should I book a session?

9

Most clients book 4-6 months in advance, especially for maternity and newborn sessions. However, I sometimes have last-minute openings—just reach out to check availability.
